Wasaga Beach joins more than 30 municipalities in Ontario using CityView
CityView is excited to announce the Town of Wasaga Beach, Ontario as its first customer in 2020. The town sought a comprehensive solution to provide better service to citizens, create a paperless review process and drive efficiency while upgrading its technology—without sacrificing functionality.
The Town will implement CityView’s core suite of solutions, including CityView Property Information (the backbone of the CityView system), CityView Permits & Inspections (to streamline and automate the permit approval and inspections process), CityView Planning (to eliminate manually intensive activities), along with CityView Bylaw Enforcement, CityView Business Licensing and CityView Cashiering.
In addition, Wasaga Beach is looking forward to better connect citizens and staff with the CityView Portal, allowing citizens to initiate code cases, apply for permits and more online, anytime, from anywhere. CityView Electronic Plans Review will increase the speed and ease of plan submission with a digital plan review process. CityView Mobile will enable Town inspectors to complete their work directly from the field.
Lastly, the Town will take advantage of CityView’s integration with Microsoft technology via the Word and Outlook Add-ins, a convenient way to maximize productivity by merging CityView data into letter outputs and making appointments or managing to-do lists from directly within CityView.
The Town of Wasaga Beach is nestled along the southern shore of Nottawasaga Bay and is home to approximately 21,000 full-time residents. That population swells significantly in the summer months when cottagers and vacationers arrive. The town is home to a diverse group of residents, including young families and retirees. Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is part of the community and includes the longest freshwater beach in the world.
