The City of Huntsville, Texas Seeks to Improve Service Offerings with CityView

Huntsville, TXThe City of Huntsville, TX , a satisfied BluePrince customer since 2005, has decided to migrate to the CityView Suite with the goal of improving service offerings to citizens and contractors.

Huntsville expressed a desire to create a paperless review process and admired the mark up and collaboration capabilities CityView Electronic Plans Review offered through its Bluebeam integration. This new functionality will enable the City to speed up review time and reduce paper.

In addition, the City wanted to improve customer service and provide additional self-serve options to its 40,000 citizens. The CityView Portal will provide both Huntsville residents and City contractors with 24/7 online access to perform a number of tasks, such as applying for permits, submitting code enforcement requests, checking on the status of an inspection and more.

Huntsville took advantage of Harris’ Software for Life policy, allowing it to migrate to the CityView suite of solutions with minimal impact to their budget. The City will be implementing a full suite of CityView modules to maintain and improve upon the functionalities they enjoyed with BluePrince, such as CityView Property Information, Permits & Inspections, Planning, etc. Adding CityView Mobile for building inspections and code enforcement aligns with Huntsville’s goal of improving service, offering convenience and reducing paper.
