Collier and Cherokee will benefit from a paperless procedure that
shortens the municipal review process
June 17, 2015: VICTORIA, BC : We are pleased to announce that Collier County, Florida and Cherokee County, Georgia, have both selected CityView’s Electronic Plans Review solution to replace their existing systems. These counties will benefit from a more integrated paperless procedure that will shorten their municipal review process; offer exceptional and convenient service to their contractors, applicants and architects; and save time, money and the environment.
Collier County selected CityView’s Electronic Plans Review to replace its current EPR solution which did not integrate with its permitting process in CityView. The County’s current solution also lagged behind in functionality compared to the CityView solution. Because CityView combines the exceptional submittal, approval routing, version control and workflow capabilities of CityView with the vast capabilities of Bluebeam's flagship product, Bluebeam Revu, users can circulate, mark up and review documents, plans and construction drawings and stimulate online collaboration throughout the process.
Collier County is one of CityView’s larger customers with a population of 321,520. Collier includes the City of Naples and Marco Island, as well as Everglades City, which make up what is often referred to as Florida’s “Paradise Coast.”
Cherokee County had also been using an alternative EPR solution; the challenge was there was no integration with CityView, causing County staff to have to enter data into two systems. With the move to CityView’s Electronic Plans Review, all information will seamlessly flow between modules; County staff will increase productivity because duplicate data entry will be eliminated. The County will also benefit from the product’s robust and intuitive workflows.
Cherokee County includes the Atlanta-area suburbs, and has experienced a 51% growth rate since 2000, pushing its population up to 215,014 as of 2014. The County Seat is Canton. Cherokee joins several other Georgia counties using CityView, including Augusta-Richmond, Bullock, Carroll, and Griffin.
“We’re very pleased we could offer Collier and Cherokee a top of the line Electronic Plans Review solution that combines the power of CityView and Bluebeam’s award-winning PDF creation, markup, editing and collaboration solutions,” said Sean Higgins, Executive Vice President of CityView. “Not only will these counties experience significant cost savings in processing plan review documents electronically, but all data will be automatically integrated with their other CityView modules, allowing for seamless workflows and one-point data entry.”
