Both cities will implement CityView Property Information, Permits and Inspections, Planning, Business Licensing, Electronic Plans Review, GIS integration, CityView Portal, CityView Mobile and the Microsoft Add ins for Outlook and Word. Leduc has also included CityView Bylaw Enforcement, while Medicine Hat will employ CityView Cashiering.
Leduc is a vibrant, growing city of more than 28,500 citizens next door to the Edmonton International Airport. The pride of the city is the new Leduc Recreation Centre (LRC). The LRC is one of Alberta’s largest and newest (2009) recreational centres.
Medicine Hat, population 61,097, is known as the Gas City for its reserves of natural gas. It is also the sunniest city in Canada. As such, the City will soon be home to the most advanced solar-electric generation production system in the country and has the most progressive program to provide commercial and residential buildings with solar electricity production capability.
The CityView Suite will allow both cities to benefit from reduced customer call volume, shorter issuance times, increased citizen self-service, increased inspector productivity, and a reduction in paper and manual processes.
