VICTORIA, BC: CityView, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation (Harris) is pleased to announce that the City of Thornton, Colorado has selected CityViewTM to improve business process automation and consolidate permitting, development, code compliance and contractor licensing processes.
The City of Thornton is home to almost 120,000 residents, having grown 44% over 10 years to become the 6th largest city in Colorado. The City needed a comprehensive solution capable of merging disparate systems, automating processes, and improving the visibility of data and services to its constituents. The City will implement CityView Property Information, Permits & Inspections, Planning, Code Enforcement, Licensing and Cashiering and will capitalize on CityView’s paperless plans review, field inspection and citizen engagement solutions to shorten permit processing times and improve productivity and service.
Greg Wheeler, Chief Building Official for Thornton, explains the major factors that led to the City’s selection of CityView as the preferred vendor: “ We were looking for a City Development product that could improve our customer service, efficiency, and automation that was also intuitive to navigate and use. During our evaluation process, we found CityView fit our business requirements very well, and would eliminate all of the workarounds with our current software.”
