Your role

As a data conversion specialist at CityView, your primary responsibility will be interpreting business rules and data, converting data from diverse systems into the innovative CityView solution. Your expertise will be the backbone of customer satisfaction, ensuring that products and services are delivered according to CityView methodology.

Key responsibilities

• Data conversions and more: Undertake data conversions for new customer implementations and handle a spectrum of data-related tasks for both new and existing customers.
• Customer interaction: Work closely with project managers to engage customers through onsite visits, online and phone interactions, and address data conversion requirements promptly.
• Documentation maven: Develop comprehensive data mapping documentation and estimates for various data conversion projects, actively participating in the creation of project scope documents.
• Scripting efficiency: Develop data conversion scripts for project-specific tasks, emphasizing reusability and efficiency to streamline the process.
• Software expertise: Become an expert in the functionality of CityView's software concerning data structure and requirements, ensuring top-notch quality deliverables for every project.
• Communication mastery: Regularly communicate with project managers and implementation specialists to adhere to timelines, mitigate risks and ensure project success.
• Multitasking pro: Balance multiple concurrent projects, follow processes and recommend process changes where applicable to maximize utilization.
• Continuous learning: Stay abreast of industry best practices, tools, and technical skills related to data conversion.
• Customer-centric approach: Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues throughout the implementation process, and collaborating with technical support analysts to deliver tested and approved data conversions.

What we seek

• Educational background: Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent job experience.
• Technical prowess: Expert or advanced skills in MS-SQL, capable of performing complex queries and writing data conversion scripts.
• Domain experience: Familiarity with local government applications or similar fields.
• Analytical thinker: Ability to interpret requirements and recommend effective solutions.
• Troubleshooting guru: Excellent troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking to resolve issues efficiently.
• Time management whiz: Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Positive proactiveness: A positive, proactive, take-charge attitude to drive success.
• Tech assets: Experience with MS SQL Reporting Services and ESRI ArcGIS is considered an asset.

The compensation

This exciting opportunity comes with a competitive base salary ranging between $50,000 and $70,000 per year, based on your experience.
