CityView Portal gives residents and businesses 24/7 convenience with planning and permitting applications, inspections, and related services
Just last month, Chatham County, NC implemented several CityView value-add solutions, including CityView Portal, that provides residents and businesses with convenient, self-serve options to apply for permits, check inspection results, pay fees, etc. The new online service saves customers valuable time – they no longer need to visit or call County offices to complete tasks because they can now do so from almost anywhere there’s an Internet connection.
CityView Portal has been well received: After applying for a fire alarm permit, customer Sharon R. Bowles from the Patterson Group commented, “This has been the easiest submittal I have ever done – all counties need to follow you guys into the next generation for submittals.”
As Jenny Williams, director of Chatham County Central Permitting & Inspections, said during the portal’s launch, “We are excited to offer this new service…this is an important step in offering exceptional customer service while making it more convenient for the public.”
The CityView Portal lets Chatham County customers apply for the following:
- Business permits
- Environmental health permits
- Fire permits
- Planning and zoning permits
Customers also use CityView Portal to submit construction plans, monitor permit status, and more.
