This Texas town is preparing for a population boom—and they’re bringing BluePrince Cloud along for the ride.
The City of Oak Point, Texas, is the newest community to join the CityView family; it will be implementing BluePrince Cloud. With a population of about 7,500—and projections to exceed 10,000 in the next few years—the City of Oak Point, Texas, is preparing for a wave of residential and commercial development.
To support this expansion, the City selected BluePrince Cloud—CityView’s purpose-built solution for small to mid-sized municipalities—to modernize its permitting and code enforcement processes.
“With new homes and neighborhoods springing up across the City, we needed to act fast,” said Steven Taylor, code enforcement officer and building inspector for the City of Oak Point. “After evaluating three different vendors, BluePrince Cloud stood out for its ease of use, affordability and the personal touch we received from the CityView team.”
Steven first encountered CityView while working at the City of Carrollton, where he helped implement CityView’s enterprise solution. “It was incredibly helpful for day-to-day tasks like tracking code violations and integrating property data,” he shared. “So when I arrived in Oak Point and saw there was no system in place, I knew where to start looking.”
BluePrince Cloud proved to be the right fit for Oak Point’s needs—offering robust functionality without the complexity or cost of a large-scale solution. The City is currently in training and expects to go live later this year.
Oak Point joins a growing number of Texas communities—including Conroe and Hidalgo—that have adopted BluePrince Cloud to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
