Canton, Michigan selects CityView solution from Municipal Software

Victoria, British Columbia, June 29th, 2005-Municipal Software (TSX-V:MSZ) is pleased to announce that Canton, Michigan has purchased its CityView product solution to automate their Municipal Services Department which includes Planning Services, Building and Inspection Services and the Public Works Division. Canton will use CityView to integrate with their extensive GIS capabilities, provide staff with a mobile solution and offer a Public Portal on which to offer information and services to the community.

According to Judy Bocklage, Canton's Project Manager for this project, "The goal of the project was to procure an automated, integrated information management system for the Municipal Services Department (MSD), which is reliable and has the ability for Canton to expand its capability. We were looking for a system that is completely open-ended and flexible. We believe that CityView Application Builder will provide us with application development tools to enable Canton to easily add new applications, customized to reflect the business practices of Canton." Bocklage went on to say "a task force was established to review different software solutions and CityView met or exceeded all the criteria established by the Task Force."

Municipal Services Director Tim Faas believes "CityView will provide us with the tools to increase our levels of customer service and accountability, while leveraging current and future technologies to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our growing community."
