San Mateo Becomes Latest CityView Client in California

Victoria, British Columbia, February 9, 2004

Municipal Software Corporation, the developer of CityView, local government business process automation software, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Municipal Solutions Group, Inc. (TSX-V:MSM), is proud to announce that the City of San Mateo, CA has purchased CityView to automate Permitting and Inspections, Planning, Licensing, Fire Permits, Public Works Permits and Code Enforcement.

CityView will be integrated with several of the city's key existing systems including their financial software, an IVR (integrated voice response) system and their GIS data. While the city's main focus is automating internal systems, they also intend to offer services on-line to their customers for permitting, inspections, and complaint tracking and to have their inspectors use CityView on pen tablets out in the field.

According to Municipal Software Corporation President and CEO Robert Bennett, "Being selected for this project, after a highly competitive RFP process with an extensive process of due diligence on San Mateo's part, helps to demonstrate that CityView is the best enterprise solution available for meeting the needs of large local government organizations." CityView is used across the USA and Canada by over 150 clients in 30 states and five provinces. San Mateo, CA joins other large jurisdictions such as the City and County of Denver, CO and the City of Charlotte, NC. "We are pleased to welcome such a professional and prominent client in Northern California. The entire selection process was one of the most organized that we've seen to date, and we are quite excited about what will result from our collaboration," said Bennett.

CityView Enterprise helps government automate business processes such as Building, Planning, Code Enforcement, Business Licensing, Public Works, Emergency Management and more. It is open and flexible enough to fit with any business process. Unlike other similar products, CityView is not just forms automation software; it is an application development tool, which means that the forms, reports and workflow that are specific to each client are found in the application development layer of the software, not in the source code. Clients can modify their own systems as they see fit, and new software releases do not affect the client's unique configurations.

The City of San Mateo is located just south of the San Francisco airport in Northern California with a population of about 100,000 and is known as one of the leading edge municipalities in Northern California.
