SAN FRANCISCO - salesforce.com Dreamforce Conference, October 9, 2006-Municipal Software (TSX-V:MSZ) a provider of business process automation solutions for local government and salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced the availability of Local Government Manager for salesforce.com's AppExchange. Local Government Manager enables municipalities to manage their entire permitting and inspections function from end to end. Local Government Manager is immediately available for test drive and deployment at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange. Local Government Manager for AppExchange is a native salesforce.com application that automates and manages the traditionally time-consuming permitting and inspections process.  It is both configurable and customizable, comes with a number of standard reports and relies heavily on standard Salesforce objects such as contacts and activities. Municipal Software's Local Government Manager also uses the Salesforce dashboard to easily identify status or problems within the permitting function.

"For over 24 years Municipal Software has delivered practical purposely designed solutions for mid to large municipalities. By partnering with the on-demand industry leader salesforce.com on the AppExchange, we can now offer new options to municipalities who are looking for easy to implement solutions to automate their core processes in a way that makes sense for them," said Iain McLean, chief executive officer for Municipal Software.

"We are pleased to see growing support for the on-demand model in the government sector as this is an important market for salesforce.com," said Neil Herron, vice president, public sector, salesforce.com. "Municipal Software's Local Government Manager for AppExchange is a tool that is uniquely designed for local governments who are looking for flexible and affordable options."

Municipal Software's Local Government Manager for AppExchange is one of more than 375 applications now available on the salesforce.com AppExchange, the world's first on-demand directory and sharing service, found at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange.
