MUNICIPAL SOFTWARE PROVIDES MORE EFFICIENT PERMIT PROCESSING
FOR CITIZENS OF WRIGHT COUNTY
Wright County, MN Selects CityView PreBuiltsTM
Victoria, B.C., September 1st, 2006-Wright County, MN moves toward providing further e-Government services with an agreement reached in August with Municipal Software Corporation for its CityView PreBuiltsTM software.
With the purchase of the CityView Property Information, Permits and Inspections, and Cashiering PreBuilt software solutions, Wright County has taken a significant step towards its goal of integrating its disparate land management systems and has put its Planning and Zoning Department on track to more efficiently issue permits, assign and monitor workflows and track inspection activity on various kinds of building and septic permits-making it easier for customers to submit permit applications and faster for the county to process them.
"CityView will shorten the time it takes to research permit history and status, will improve permit turnaround and will ultimately increase accuracy and consistency of application processing," said Assistant Planner, Barry Rhineberger.
IT Systems Analyst, Cheri Nelson, added, "CityView was selected because it will meet our short-term goals of improving service and efficiency through process automation, and will contribute towards our long-term goals of e-Government. It will ensure we maximize data flow across the organization and to our constituents."
Iain McLean, CEO of Municipal Software said, "We are very pleased to welcome another Mid-West client to our team. Wright County is moving strategically towards providing e-Government service while enabling them to grow and we are delighted to see further evidence that customers are selecting the CityView PreBuilt products to provide a quicker and more cost effective solution to the goal of improving services."
Using CityView, the county will be able to integrate with their new Property Tax system, their Document Management system and their GIS.
In 2004 the total estimated population of Wright County was 106,734, an almost 20% increase from the population reported in the 2000 census.
