Islamorada, Village of Islands, FL, selects CityView solution from Municipal Software
Victoria, British Columbia, December 16, 2005 - Municipal Software (TSX-V:MSZ) is pleased to announce that Islamorada, Village of Islands, FL, has purchased its CityView product to automate its Planning and Building Services Departments. CityView will provide Islamorada's staff mobile access to information and the ability to use the Web to offer services to its citizens, while integrating seamlessly with Islamorada's existing Global Information System (GIS).
According to Bernie LaPira, Village Manager, "Many Islamorada property owners live elsewhere. They require secure remote access to planning information and building services. We can provide that through CityView's Public Portal. The Village is also excited to implement CityView for document preservation, electronically safeguarding public records as a preventative measure."
Stu Bautz, Communications Coordinator for the Village added, "We recognized a growing need to centralize and digitize our records for all Village departments. We could not meet that need with our current paper systems and existing software. The CityView PreBuilt solutions come with all the benefits of out-the-box software without the constraints of proprietary modifications, because we can use the Application Builder to grow and develop CityView modules when the need arises."
