VICTORIA-Municipal Software Corporation, a leading developer of local government business process automation software and a wholly owned subsidiary of Municipal Solutions Group, Inc. (TSX: MSM), announced today that the City of Nashua, NH purchased CityView Enterprise in order to automate their Community Development and Licensing processes. Their future plans include using CityView for voter registration and to offer some of their services over the Internet, such as allowing customers to check on the status of building permits, to complete the appropriate permit application paper work and to submit and check building inspection status.
"The City of Nashua chose CityView because the software product met all our needs," stated Kerri Lunn, Programmer/Systems Specialist II at the City of Nashua. "In addition, the software incorporated all the necessary technologies with the content of the data for ease of use and streamlining of processes. The ease of use with handheld devices, GIS compatibility, CityView's Internet capabilities and the fact that Municipal Software is an ESRI partner were all factors in the decision."
Rob Bennett, President of Municipal Software Corporation commented, "We are happy to welcome Nashua as our second client in New Hampshire! They are our 16th client in the Northeast, where they join jurisdictions such as Freehold, New Jersey, Keene, New Hampshire and Newark, Delaware. It's great to see jurisdictions like Nashua pursuing their e-Government initiatives with CityView, and their understanding of the control and flexibility that CityView 8.NET offers for their business process automation, on and off the Web."
Nashua will rely on Municipal Software Corporation to complete the initial install of the software and provide ongoing support over the years. CityView Enterprise is powerful automation software that is designed specifically for local government and easily converts paper systems and business processes into a computerized system without costly and time-consuming programming.
Nashua's conversion to CityView Enterprise will save the city time and money and ultimately improve customer service delivery to its citizens. According to Lunn, "the fact that Municipal Software has a good reputation, is on the leading edge of technologies and has been in business for many years, all weighedin our decision to select them as the right vendor for the City of Nashua."
