CityView Releases Version 7.7 incorporating ESRI's MapObjects 2.1

Municipal Software Corporation, a leading developer of local government business process automation software, announced today the release of CityView version 7.7. The new release provides significant improvements and enhancements in user features and design capabilities - 7.7 makes it even easier for users to design and customize their CityView modules.

This is the second new version of CityView released this year. The previous release of CityView 7.6 included the incorporation of ESRI's MapObjects and the latest release expands on that integration. The next release planned for the end of this year will unveil the new CityView .NET series featuring seamless integration with the Web. All releases of new CityView versions are provided as part of the annual software maintenance fee to Municipal Software's clients.

Users of CityView can take immediate advantage of the new features in version 7.7. New mapping features provided by MapObjects 2.1 allow the use of GIF and JPEG images as well as linking directly to a broader range of mapping files. Pop up calendars, data grid views and new lookup table editing capabilities make the system easier to use for those entering data, while features like snap to grid and undo and redo changes make form design a snap!
