City of Grove City, Ohio to Implement Municipal Software's CityView System
Municipal Software Corporation, a leading developer of local government business process automation software, announced today that the City of Grove City, OH has purchased CityView to automate their Building and Zoning Division. The total value of the contract is $50,000 (US).
The City of Grove City is a vibrant Central Ohio community of approximately 25,000 residents and is located immediately southwest of Columbus.
The Building Division's system will provide the City with the ability to automate permitting and inspection processes utilizing the technologies of today and tomorrow. Implementation is planned to start as soon as possible.
The Building and Zoning Division is responsible for enforcing the Building Housing, and Zoning Codes of the City of Grove City. The Division reviews building plans and issues permits for all construction within the City. Building inspectors and code enforcement officers inspect both new and existing buildings. The Building and Zoning division regulates land use through its zoning functions and is also responsible for the licensing of contractors and for the regulation of the construction industry.
Grove City plans to use CityView in conjunction with its GIS data to improve a number of business processes related to building functions. They also intend to explore opportunities to automate other City Departments.
