CityView Incorporates ESRI's MapObjects

Version 7.6 Allows Direct Access to Industry Standard GIS FormatMunicipal Software Corporation, a leading developer of local government business process automation software, announced today the release of CityView version 7.6. The new release provides significant improvements and enhancements for searching, filtering, record maintenance and e-mail, as well as allowing direct access to ESRI's MapObjects - an industry standard GIS format.

Users of CityView can take immediate advantage of the new features in version 7.6. Most significantly, with the incorporation of ESRI's MapObjects, information can be attached to almost any GIS data and can be used directly within CityView without having to convert or import, thus providing considerable savings of time and effort for users. Users of ESRI's ArcViewand ArcInfocan merely point to their GIS data and use it immediately. Other industry standard formats supported without conversion include AutoCAD, DXF, Geo TIFF, and many others.
