Municipal Software, a North American leader in Local Government automation, is currently looking for experienced Implementation Specialists to analyze client requirements and configure our award-winning CityView software to meet the stated specifications.

Implementation Specialists are responsible for interpreting process requirements and producing runtime environments of our user-friendly database applications. Implementation Specialists work on a variety of activities over the course of a project, including:

• Evaluation of client requirements and product demonstrations
• Identification of gaps (i.e. requirements that cannot be met with our off-the-shelf product suite)
• Documentation of customization requests
• Business Rules automation
• Data entry and software configuration
• Basic data scripting and loading
• Go live facilitation (at times, on-site)

The Municipal Software Product Development team has a great appreciation for innovation and the ability to leverage efforts across multiple projects. Successful candidates will have completed a post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate, complimented with at least two years of practical work experience, either in Local Government, another related service industry, business analysis, or application development. Knowledge of data conversion, GIS, and/or software development processes are an asset. Some travel within Canada and the USA is required.
 
A background in the following areas is highly desirable:

• Local Government business processes
  • Land management and/or Zoning
  • Planning and Development and/or Permitting
  • Code Enforcement and/or Business Licensing
• Business analysis or application development
• Installing a variety of applications in a Windows environment
• Learning and using Windows-based applications
• Troubleshooting basic software problems
• Technical writing and/or business requirements definition
• Software training and/or technical support
• Scripting (basic programming skills)
• SQL Server or Microsoft Access database tools
• Data Conversion using Microsoft’s SSIS and DTS tools
