Municipal Software Corporation, a leading provider of e-government software for business processes in local government, has a mid-level vacancy for a Software Support Analyst for our flagship CityView software. The individual in this role will work in a tightly-knit team environment to take ownership of Customer issues from start to resolution. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, positive person who enjoys helping people solve technical problems. Past experience supporting software and excellent communication skills are required. SQL database experience and an understanding of business processes and/or local government practices are assets. Responsibilities include:
Prioritize, investigate, and resolve Customer incidents relating to CityView software, custom applications and supporting technologies
Provide an outstanding Customer experience with a positive attitude
Work with project teams to install and deliver solutions
Support of internal staff, on CityView related issues
Contribute to the product development cycle with ideas and product improvements
Create and maintain documentation including FAQs, technical documentation and Incident/resolution information
Working a variety of shifts; Support hours are from 5:30am PT to 5:30pm PT and we have a morning and afternoon shift
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in an IT-related field and 1+ years of software industry / IT experience; or, 3+ years of software industry / IT experience
Prefer Level 2 Help Desk, Desktop or Technical Support experience
Experience with database technologies and applications
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software applications and common IT networks and technologies
Desired experience
MS SQL, MS Access, Oracle, IIS, .Net, ESRI GIS tools, web services
SQL programming
LDAP / Active Directory
IT network infrastructure (e.g. Windows Servers, TCP/IP)
Change management
Understanding of local government operations
