Municipal Software Corporation is a leading provider of e-government solutions in local government with our flagship software CityView PreBuilts. We have a mid-level vacancy for a Project Manager in the Professional Services team based in Victoria, BC. As a Project Manager, you will lead a portfolio of application development projects through all phases of implementation to ensure that the final application meets the client's functional requirements.

Specific duties will include:

  • Project planning and kickoff;
  • Scope definition and expectations management;
  • Demonstration of the software to various client stakeholders;
  • Collection and documentation of functional specifications and release planning;
  • Prioritization of customer requirements;
  • Coordination with development teams to implement required functionality;
  • Resource planning and scheduling;
  • Plan execution and progress monitoring;
  • Monitoring of project staff performance;
  • Overall client services management; and,
  • Occasional travel throughout North America to client sites.

You demonstrate excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication as well as show a proven track record of satisfied clients. Specifically, your skill set includes:

  • A relevant university degree and/or Project Management certification and five years related professional experience;
  • An solid understanding of local government business processes;
  • Demonstrated skills in writing scope documents and specifications;
  • Familiarity with customizable software application packages (CRM, ERP or others) and a profound understanding of configuration;
  • Proficiency at leading mixed teams of analysts and developers across multiple locations; and,
  • A solid technical knowledge of Windows, .NET and database (SQL Server or Oracle) applications.
