Municipal Software, a North American leader in Local Government automation, is currently looking for a Data Conversion Specialist to convert historical information into our award winning CityView software. We are looking for people with a technical background that enjoy working with a dedicated team focused on delivering projects on time and on budget. The Data Conversion Specialist will create a comprehensive conversion plan which addresses client records and associated data uploads and gap analysis information. They will also be responsible for the subsequent entry of new data and conversion activities in support of go live. This position is located at our head office in Victoria, BC.

A background in the following areas is highly desirable:

• Extensive experience on conversion projects, preferably in a lead role
• Experience planning data conversions and implementations
  
• Thorough knowledge of SQL and SQL Server
  
• Highly developed analytical abilities
  
• Reconciling gaps for missing data
  
• Proficiency in understanding relational database structures
  
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft’s SSIS / DTS, RedGate and other data conversion tools
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work well with a team of technical and business experts
  
• Working knowledge of Oracle would be considered an asset
